1) All PR Outreach must be local, please submit your targets prior to contacting them so the same writers are not being hit up for the Official Publicity Team.
2) Webmarketing - anything using the band's image or music needs to be approved before it is sent out, particularly if the images and music are altered at all. You need to keep it as local as possible since we're judging each team's success by the sales raised in their home market.
3) Budgets - be as creative as possible and try to come up with viral, word of mouth, and strategic ways to market the records. We will not approve budgets for ad-buys of any sort. Get creative! We will approve on a case by case, plan by plan basis. We do expect, on a certain level, that the students might have a class budget just like they would for their own textbooks, but again, if they come up with some unique proposals, we will consider providing some financing for their efforts.
4) Suggestions are welcome with regards to the web properties, but again, the focus of these projects should be local and "real world". We'd like to see what the students can come up with that appeals to their peers and local communities that stimulates sales in their markets.
